Fernando Sor(1778-1839)
He was a Spanish composer, born in Barcelona in 1778 and dead in Paris in 1839. He studied music at the monastery of Montserrat. In 1799, he moved to Madrid. Around 1813, supporting the French, he moved to Paris, musical center.Through his works, he surpassed the others ( Matteo Carcassi, Mauro Giuliani and Ferdinando Carulli) in terms of success. He is known for his exercises, "divertissements" and studies for the guitar.
